But cats hate water

February 28, 2011

Savannah is a very quiet cat who meows at most once a week when she is about to be fed.  Recently she has gotten in the habit of meowing excessively after the shower gets turned off, and darting into the shower to drink the water from the bottom.  This week twice she ran into the shower when I was in there, scurrying under foot before exiting covered in water.  Her eagerness for the shower makes me happy in my decision to get her, which was originally for Quin not for myself.

Coming up every Thursday, TILT- Things I love Thursdays.

I can dream

February 19, 2011

I rode my bike through the rain today, and yesterday, and the day before.  And with the continual rain, all I can think of is when the storm clears and I can go for a nice long bike ride and read under a tree in the grass under a sunny sky.

Happy

February 18, 2011

I don’t listen to the radio except when I am at work.  And every time a Regina Spektor song comes on I think ‘Who is this?  I love her voice’.

It just makes me happy.

The world on my walls

February 17, 2011

When I move to a larger space I am going to get a huge map of the world for my wall.

As if I don’t think about travel enough.

Valentine’s Day

February 14, 2011

Kicked off today venturing out through the rain to Oakland to visit a friend for lunch.

Part of me wishes it was sunny out so I could go for a long bike ride, while the other part of me thinks nothing is better than cuddling up with my kids while it rains outside.
